Listen...we gotta start calling this **** what it is. It's not SPAM it's TROLLING. Members who have board management responsibility here keep calling it spam because if they don't do something about the trolling, they're **** worthless as mods/management. And as far as I can tell from my brief time here, they're **** mods. At decent forums, blatant homophobia and blatant racism particularly the nauseating vicious type that runs rampant in this **** typically generates a quick escort out the door for the racists and the homophobes. But...OK...maybe it's not a bad thing to be reminded of the sort of scum decent people in this country are forced to share good air with. But the trolling? It's designed to disrupt any sort of actual debate, argument, or even hostile confrontation between members. And it's always used by right-wing jagoffs, of which there are a **** in this septic tank, who don't have the capacity, capability, or decency to even attempt to provide legit opinions backed by legit resources. So...in any decent, wide open, generally moderation free current events forum, even those where personal attacks are allowed to go unrestricted, when any member exhibits a pattern of disruptive trolling, they are gone, and often permanently.
Why not here? Beats me. But they call the trolling "SPAM", which is unrequested sales pimping and attempted swindling on text and social media messaging platforms. Maybe they do it so it's harder to accuse them of being gutless assholes who refuse to stop the trolling. It ain't spam...it's **** trolling and the trolls, like Bluto, should be tossed of this **** forum.
